FAB

I ma currently in the process of working up the 2nd edition of my book Finance and Accounting for Business. One of the theme stories in the book (I love story-telling as part of teaching) is about Sid Buckle who establishes a taxi business in Watford. Sid and his taxi business have featured in many discussions as readers got into the tale. At one level its easy to teach accounting, what newcomers find hard at any level is building a mental map of the subject so that they can intuitively see how business decisions impact upon the financial reports. What stories do is open up the imagination and get newcomers to contextualise the numbers and what they represent.
